Role Summary

The incumbent will supervise the settlement, processing and reconciliation transactions pertaining to all accounts and will ensure customer satisfaction by showcasing superior customer service

 

Role Description

 

Assist in meeting units’ budget, controlling costs and achieving targeted levels of processing volumes

Provide timely and accurate information to the external and internal auditors when required

Process charge backs and disputes within the required time frame in order to reduce losses.

Ensure posting of transactions on a daily basis so that operating standards are fulfilled.

Reconcile the accounts on a daily basis.

Assist branches and related departments as needed

Answer questions and resolve problems as needed.

Support and replace Operations personnel as needed.

Keep management informed of area activities and of any significant problems.

Attend and participate in meetings as required.

Stay abreast of changes in Branch Operations and related policies.

Prepare and submit MIS on timely basis.

Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory pronouncements.

Ensure full awareness of all the policies and procedures issued in relation to money laundering prevention.

Stay abreast of changes in banking operations processes and policies.  Support team members within Banking Operations team and coach junior team members where required

Ensure high standards of data protection and confidentiality to safeguard commercially sensitive information.

All other ad hoc duties and/or activities related to QNB that management may request of the employee from time to time

You are required to:

a)   comply with all applicable legal, regulatory and internal compliance requirements including, but not limited to, the QNB London Compliance manual; Compliance Policies and Procedures and; the Anti Money Laundering & Counter Terrorist Financing Policy and Procedures Manual.

b)   in accordance with the Branch Governance manual,  contribute to and comply with the Branch’s Risk Framework, consider Risk Appetite and promote a positive Risk Culture:  

  • understand and effectively perform your role under the Three Lines of Defense principle to identify, measure, monitor, manage and report risks.   

  • ensure systematic good outcomes for clients in accordance with Conduct Risk policy.   

  • support the framework of RCSA, KRI, Incident reporting and remediation, as appropriate, in accordance with the Operational Risk Management requirements.  

c)    Maintain appropriate knowledge to ensure to be fully qualified to undertake the role. Complete all mandatory training provided by the Bank and attain and maintain the required levels of competence.

d)   attend mandatory (internal and external) seminars as instructed by the Bank.

 

Qualifications

The successful candidate will:

Have a Bachelor’s degree or Masters

Be fully competent in Banking Operations and have extensive knowledge of banking payments methods
