Job Summary:
The incumbent will execute all the projects of the Group within the financial and non-financial budgetary limits, conforming at the same time, to regulations, rules, procedures and quality standards, by designing, supervising and ensuring the execution of all project work as per specifications and drawings & overseeing the construction of new premises for the Group’s operations.
Role Description:
Responsible for development of capital expenditure budget for the local Projects & Engineering department.
Coordinate with concerned user departments to secure the requirements and schedule for the respective projects/ facilities maintenance works execution.
Responsible for establishing cost, budget, and contract documentations for bank’s construction/fit-out projects.
Manage the projects budget, risks & issues and provide resolution of issues
In charge of planning, implementation and execution of building projects and the renovation of all buildings owned or occupied by the Group.
Review & Approve project variations (within the assigned authorities).
Undertake feasibility studies for new projects and requests, and prepare estimates and the scope of works.
Finalize design drawings, specifications and tender documents.
Evaluate Tenders received/ submitted with recommendations.
Ensure execution of projects by contractors/ consultants according to pre-written schedules.
Review materials being used at sites for quality, quantity, price and follow-up on any requirements.
Review & approve Project’s Material Submittals and Shop Drawings in conformity with project specifications.
Constantly update and review the Group’s project management methodology to ensure that it is in line with the best practices.
Qualifications:
A University Degree in Civil Engineering/ Architecture.
At least 7 years of experience in a job of similar nature.
In addition to the above:
MS Office skills and knowledge in CAD/CAM usage
Excellent Project Management skills.
Good mathematical and quantitative aptitude for calculation and measurements of different units, ability to compute costs, ratios, draw charts, graphs and present and interpret them to Management.
