Role Summary

This truly is an exciting opportunity to join the leading bank in Qatar.

As a key part of our accelerated growth plan we have established the need to recruit a Product Manager- Segments  within our Wealth Management function.

The role of the Product Manager is to support the function in developing wealth products to the targetted segments with the objective to maximize volumes, revenues and profits.

 

Role Description

You will segregate customer base, target profitable customers/segments and discard unprofitable customers/segments.

You will  establish agreed sales budgets for branches and direct sales staff for the assigned products and closely monitor the product performance.

Analyze portfolio behavior in order to determine segment product preferences and implement effective and targeted marketing programs designed to attract additional business.

Formulate customer retention strategies to minimize attrition and thereby help grow the segment portfolio.

Manage the approved marketing budget working closely with the Retail Sales & Marketing function to optimize advertising and promotional spending.

Coordinate efforts with personnel in charge of processing remittances within Group Infrastructure and the partner bank representatives within QNB premises to ensure seamless service provision.

Build and maintain strong and effective relationship with the all other related units to achieve the Group’s goals/ objectives.

Lead development and revision of the related product programs within defined timescales, as and when required.

Ensure processes are in place for launch of new QNB related products, including the smooth launch in compliance with the applicable internal policies and external regulations. Also ensure that processes, policies/ procedures exist for all existing products and services to enable the relevant staff to comply with the same.

Manage the business partner selection process and relations including day-to-day liaison.

Lead the development of partnership agreements establishment in relevant countries to provide dual account proposition

Responsible for identifying and successfully implementing ‘cross-sell’ opportunities with other retail functions/ business units viz. private banking, retail assets and oterh QNB products.

Provide accurate product & related information to Communications function to enable them to liaise with appointed agencies to ensure information is disclosed on the Group’s web-site, product brochures, annual reports, promotional collateral and other means of communication in a timely, accurate manner and in compliance with the bank’s corporate identity.

You will have the following additional skills/knowledge:

  • You will be highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and a competent user or Word and PowerPoint
  • System reporting and administration
  • Solid knowledge of product development within banking
  • Marketing experience  and awareness of below and above the line strategies
  • Ability to manage and lead a team

 

Qualifications

5 years banking experience, of which at least 3 years in a similar role in a major banking institution.

Bachelor’s degree.
