Role Summary

The role is primarily responsible for assisting the Head of FI and Corporate Risk in managing the daily FI risk issues for QNB Group, assessing financial standing of new counterparties, as well as banks to which a credit line is granted.

Job Description

You will review all critical information about countries and Financial Institutions on a periodical basis and/or whenever a change occurs in the macro or micro environment that might affect QNB exposure

You will analyze financial statements / rating agency reports pertaining to Financial Institutions in the emerging economies.

You will be responsible for credit recommendations (increasing / decreasing lines of credit etc.) of selected local, regional, and international banks and other specialized financial institutions

You will continuously scan/monitor reports from external rating agencies to identify significant upgrading/downgrading of financial institutions and determine the impact of the same upon existing Financial Institutions’ relationships

You will ensure that documentation, credit reviews are in place and performed in a timely manner in line with QNB applicable procedures

 

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have at least 3 years experience in the banking industry, preferably with local / Gulf experience in the same Corporate FI Credit. He/she will hold a Bachelors in Accounting/ Finance degree (MBA preferred), in addition to significant exposure on Financial Statement Analysis.

In addition, the successful candidate will possess a good knowledge of the FI / Corporate banking business, its products and related risks together with a good knowledge of operations and control.
