Role Summary

The purpose of the role is to perform tasks relating to guarantees in the most effective and efficient manner resulting in the highest level of customer service quality and ensuring that the related financial and operational risks are mitigated. In addition, the individual will process Import and Export Letters of Credit in accordance with international rules and regulations to support the business units and ensures a good working relationship with the Bank’s clients.

Role Description

You will process and handle domestic and international bank guarantees with strict compliance to QNB policies and procedures and International Chamber of Commerce rules. You will process transactions for issuing of guarantees, amendment, cancellation, lodgment of claims and payment within the limit as per the credit policy. In addition, you will handle Swifts/ Telexes of transactions relating to bank guarantees. You will process all types of guarantees, performance bonds, advance payment bonds, tax indemnity bonds, warranty bonds etc.

You will prepare periodical reports of issued and outstanding guarantees on behalf of customers, and Banks and report them to the Head of Guarantees & Bills for Collection. You will accurately process ordinary transactions relating to advising, amendment and cancellation of Import and Export Letters of Credit and ensure work accomplishment in strict compliance with International Chamber of Commer

You will provide periodical reports of opened and outstanding Import and Export L/C to the Manager Trade Finance Operations to monitor the workflow. You will also prepare and submit reports to the Manager Trade Finance Operations to monitor workflow and income in addition to the monthly and quarterly reports. 

In addition, you will keep abreast of changes in International Chamber of Commerce/ relevant URDG and UCP rules and local/ international laws and regulations affecting foreign trade operations relating to guarantees and pertaining to Import and Export Letters of credit.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor degree (or equivalent) with relevant experience in Foreign Trade Operations relating to Guarantees, Import and Export Letters of credit. He/she will demonstrate a thorough understanding of Guarantees concepts and experience in the loan servicing industry. In addition, he/she will have experience of processing LC Issuance/Advise, Documentary Collections, Guarantees, Swift payments and communications.
