Role Summary
QNB FS is looking for a senior Trader who should be in-charge of Liquidity Provision; (LP) Strategies and Trading Algorithms based on market characteristics with respect to the assigned list of securities in the Qatar Exchange.
you should develop the appropriate strategy for sponsored LP as well as for proprietary LP within the set guidelines. Analyze stock price movement vis a vis overall market, sector and identify trading pairs.
you are required to independently manage the LP desk in adherence to QNBFS policies and procedures and in full compliance with the regulatory regime.
Role Description
Operate within trading limits and risk parameters set per security and for overall LP business
Achieve targets set within defined trading size, spread, time and quantity.
Balance P&L with Head of Trading "HoT" and Chief Financial Officer "CFO" on a daily basis in order to calibrate orders for the following day.
Tally LP trading with QE records and evaluate the value at risk on daily open positions,
Daily calibration of positions to be bought/sold in the selected securities, vetted by the HoT and CFO.
Daily reporting of positions, marked to market valuation and value at risk to HoT, CFO and Compliance Officer.
Ensure adherence to legal, compliance and risk management policies and internal procedures.
Review all securities transactions to ensure that trades conform to applicable regulations and QNBFS policies and procedures.
Ensuring that ‘Chinese Walls’ are strictly maintained with the trading desk.
Abide by the Policies and Procedures developed for maintaining the Information Security for the QNBFS and shall take on active responsibilities in achieving, managing and maintaining the ISO 27001 standard
Ensure high standard of confidentiality and ethical trading to safeguard client and organization’s best interest.
Qualifications
Graduate degree (preferably Post Graduate) in Commerce / Mathematics/ Science/Finance / Accounting /Management
At least 5 years of market experience with at least 3 years in a market making/liquidity provision post
Required Special Skills:
- Good knowledge of Equity Markets.
- Knowledge about QE & QFMA regulations
- Computer skills and familiarity with online trading systems
- Strong understanding of the local equity market.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills
- Excellent communication skills
