Role Summary

This role is primarily responsible for technical assistance of the Group’s Telecom Infrastructure. His responsibility includes designing, handling, shifting, and developing the bank’s Telecom Systems Network ( IP Telephony, PBX’s, Key systems, PSTN Tel Lines , ISDN Lines, Mobile Lines, Telex Lines, Fax Lines, ADSL Lines, Satellite Lines, Voice Mail & Unified Messaging systems, Voice Recording systems, Pagers, wireless phones, and internal/external Tel. Blockwiring).

He will also coordinate with the Infrastructure function to ensure that the Telecom network runs smoothly 24 hours a day. In addition, he will liaise with Ooredoo & ICT regarding Telecom lines, equipment, and services.

Role Description

Handles efficiently & effectively the bank’s Telecom systems and services that extend to each and every user in the bank

Maintains relationships with selected vendors for Telecom hardware & software for  proper handling & support of telecom equipment/services

Builds and maintains effective relationship with all other related departments and units to achieve the Group’s goals/objectives in network monitoring, availability, and growth.

Responsible for the maintenance of Telecom systems & equipment at the Group’s sites.

Performs on-site/remote technical support of Telecom Systems and equipment.

1Evaluates existing Telecom systems, and proposes possible improvements

Initiates and handles Telecom projects, and ensures the compliance with requirements, specifications, and deadlines.

Initiates Telecom policies, and ensures enforcing them.

Maintains proper documentation of Telecom network.

Supervises the employed Telecom technicians.

Supervises the outsourced Telecom support vendors.

Maintains a working knowledge of Telecom switching and monitoring systems.

Possesses in depth technical knowledge in Telecom network & technical support to ensure reliable service delivery and security and resolve any business disruption or inconvenience to users.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics/Electrical/Communications Engineering.

Minimum 3 years experience in Telecom Systems support with at least 2 years experience in financial institutions.
