Role Summary

The incumbent will be a member of the Organisational Design (OD) function within. In the Job Role they will partner with Human Resources and the Bank’s Leaders to design, develop, and deliver solutions that better assess, align, develop, and utilise people capabilities at the team & organisational levels to drive business strategy. Performs a range of job analysis (determining and validating minimum qualifications and other job requirements), writing job descriptions and job evaluation as a result of organizational design services.

Role Description

Essential Duties & Responsibilities by Dimensions:

A. Shareholder & Financial:

- Acts on KPI’S and best practices for Organisational Design seeking to introduce best practices to its elements

including workforce planning.

- Act within the limits of the powers delegated to the incumbent.

- Provide accurate financial forecasts in conjunction with Group Comp & Ben to highlight the cost implications of

certain modelling.

- Continuously seeking to maintain/develop QNB’s capability whilst seeking to do so in a cost effective manner.

B. Customer (Internal & External):

- Work with business and functional leaders to assess business/function specific organisation design projects and

processes to enhance both operating effectiveness and productivity.

- Support organisational development and design projects that improve people processes, structures, measures,

and accountabilities with the ultimate goal to optimise the deployment of internal resources to achieve superior

business results

- Ensure quality execution through a hands-on approach to the design and delivery of organisational development

and design projects. Build a reputation for quality and impact. Ensure that systematic methods of measuring

quality and impact are in place.

- Collaborate with the HR Business Partners to implement and maintain measurement methods. Provide subject

matter expertise for HR analytics related to Workforce Planning. Drive the implementation of standard

measurement methodologies, and ensure that they are operationalised to measure OD effectiveness.

- Maintaining the consistency and integrity of the Job Roles within the Bank through effective systems and

processes for Job Analysis, Job Descriptions & Evaluation, Organisational Structural Design and organisational

change

- Consistently demonstrate an effective ability in understanding how organisations function, and how human capital

and organisation effectiveness are enabled through effective design and deployment of staff resources.

- Work with Compliance and Risk to ensure that solutions will not expose QNB to either increased risk or regulatory

issues.

- Participate in projects in conjunction with Subsidiary Management and Human Resources to redesign their overall

Organisational Structure to align with QNB Group Standards so as to facilitate integration.

- Validates minimum qualification requirements, knowledge/skill requirements, and other facets of the job through

content- or criterion-related approaches to ensure job-relatedness.

- Writes job descriptions, or revises existing job descriptions, to reflect standardised language for cross-cutting job

skill and complexity levels.

- Be called to participate in the Banks Job Evaluation Committee

- Assists in the maintenance of all Positional Organisational Structures within the Bank and advise Subsidiaries on

how to align to same.

- Provides technical guidance and policy interpretation on all aspects of organisational structuring and job

evaluations.

- Work in close cooperation with the Human Resource Business Partners and functions to achieve a holistic

solution approach that drives organisational capability and performance via OD and Workforce Planning.

- OD project execution must be tightly coordinated with financial priorities including an aggressive, leading role in

improving cost structures through optimised organisational design.

- Develops an Organisational Impact and Risk Assessment with detailed plans for mitigation of risks.

- Ensures knowledge transfer throughout OD projects building up local knowledge and capability to effectively

manage small OD projects.

C. Internal (Processes, Products, Regulatory):

- Acts within the limits of the powers delegated to the incumbent.

- This role serves as an internal consultant primarily focused on the organisational structure and design, assessment of organisational performance, and change management

- Anticipate the long term impact of all decisions and take a broad approach to problem solving

D. Learning & Knowledge:

- Identifies areas for professional development of self, more junior team members and the Human Resources community within QNB Group.

- Knowledge and understanding of organisation development concepts and their applicability to organisational performance.

- Keeps abreast of ‘best practices’ in HR business processes as they may impact work of the Department. Provides innovative human resources solutions within a given framework.

E. Other:

- Ensuring high standards of data protection and confidentiality to safeguard commercially sensitive information. Maintaining utmost confidentiality with regards to customer and internal bank information obtained during the course of business and provide such information on a need to know basis only to Senior Management of QNB, Audit and Compliance functions, and relevant Regulators.

- Maintains high professional standards to uphold QNB's reputation and to strengthen its market leadership position.

- All other ad hoc duties and/or activities related to QNB that management may request of the employee from time to time

 

 

 

 

 

 

Qualifications

- Bachelors Degree in Human Resources, Banking, Business Administration or Engineering (related field of study)

- Minimum 6 years of relevant Organisational Design experience in either a Bank or Human Resources Consultancy, preferably with at least 1 year at Banking within a highly rated international Bank.

- Must be qualified in Hay Job Evaluation Methodology and preferably other Job Evaluation Systems such as Mercer or Towers Watson etc.
