Job Summary

The Vice President of Asset Management Governance and Products is a senior executive role responsible for overseeing the product governance and development framework within the asset management division. This role ensures that all asset management products comply with regulatory standards, aligns with the QNB’s strategic objectives, and meets the needs of clients. The VP will manage the governance process, drive product innovation, and coordinate cross-functional teams to enhance product offerings and ensure operational excellence.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement product governance policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal standards.

  • Monitor and enforce adherence to product governance practices across asset management operations, addressing any compliance issues that arise.

  • Lead the development, enhancement, and lifecycle management of asset management products, including mutual funds, ETFs, and other investment vehicles.

  • Collaborate with the broader team to define product strategies, assess market needs, and drive innovation.

  • Ensure that all asset management products and processes comply with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.

  • Stay informed about regulatory changes and implement necessary adjustments to maintain compliance.

  • Contribute to the firm’s strategic planning by providing insights on product development trends, market opportunities, and governance best practices.

  • Work with senior management to align product strategies with the QNB’s overall goals and market positioning.

  • Coordinate with various departments, including legal, risk management, operations, and marketing, to ensure seamless product development and governance processes.

  • Facilitate communication and collaboration between asset management and other stakeholders to address challenges and drive results.

  • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the success of governance frameworks and product performance.

  • Provide regular reports to senior management on governance issues, product performance, and strategic initiatives.

  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with asset management products and governance processes.

  • Implement risk management practices to protect the firm’s interests and ensure product integrity.

Education and Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Law, or a related field.

  • Advanced degree (MBA, Master’s in Finance, or Juris Doctor) preferred.

  • Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in asset management, with a focus on governance, product development, and regulatory compliance.

  • Proven track record in managing governance frameworks and leading product development initiatives.

  • Extensive knowledge of asset management industry regulations, product structures, and market dynamics.

  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to drive cross-functional teams and influence organizational change.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a deep understanding of governance practices and product management.

  • Effective communication and presentation skills, with the capability to convey complex information to various stakeholders.

  • Professional certifications such as CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) or equivalent are highly desirable.
