Role Summary:

You will Supervise the provision of asset management custodian and Investment services.

You will be charged as well with maintenance of adequate records pertaining to Asset Management and Investment Services activities such as portfolio fund management and Investment

Role Description:

Develop business budgets, control operating costs and contribute to QNB sales income by providing custodianship services.

Ensure the information disclosed to the stakeholders is complete, accurate and timely.

 Ensure the efficient operations of asset management custodianship services.

Ensure the efficient operations of Investment Services.

Handle/ resolve queries/ problems of fund managers, brokers, security markets and bank’s internal departments and Investors to the highest quality, speed and efficiency.

Provide timely and accurate information to the external and internal auditors when required.

Build and maintain strong and effective relationship with the all other related departments to achieve Group’s goals.

Ensure the adequate maintenance of asset management documents (e.g. licenses, prospectus, articles of association, reports, records, etc.)

Manage the process of subscription, certificate issuance and the database of investors as per the delegated authority and QNB’s designated asset management role.  

Coordinate between funds and investment managers, brokers/ banks and founders to ensure timely capture of data and transactions in the system.

Periodically review all transactions done by the fund manager for the account of the fund and the changes in the rights of the fund certificate and the record of investors as per the articles of association.

Create asset management profiles in the system from the supporting documents prospectus, articles and term sheet and rectify the missing data or information by coordinating with the concerned parties.

Maintain the asset management database, by reviewing the recording purchase/sale transactions.

Ensure funds report and net asset value computations/ financial statements including Investors are printed and dispatched on-time to external auditors for certification and onward dispatch to founders and Qatar Central Bank.

Notify Senior Manager Custody and Fund Operation for Investors Services; fund investments and ascertain that exposure exceptions to the set rules are recorded and escalated to the founders.

Ensure that the staff members follow asset management work flows and procedures in order to ensure high level of productivity, greater efficiency and smoother operations

Qualifications:

Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance (MBA preferred).

Min 9-10 years of experience in investment banking, with previous experience in asset management

 

 Special Required skills: 

Sound knowledge and background in asset management techniques, recordkeeping and asset management accounting.

Excellent oral and written communication skills (including report writing) in English and Arabic.

Possess strong computer software application skills (MS Office) and banking applications.

Ability to lead and work in teams from diverse cultural backgrounds.

Personal integrity and self-management.

Strong analytical and organization skills.

Possesses problem solving/ decision making skills.

Excellent knowledge on all major Custodian system and Business
