Role Summary
​​​Overall, the incumbent will lead and direct the overall collection and recovery function to achieve the optimal results for the set targets resulting in a positive bottom-line impact for Group Retail Business covering both Qatar & International Markets.
Role Description

-The incumbent will be primarily responsible for managing the Department / Units that will monitor the and progressively reducing the overdue retail “non-performing loans” (NPL) portfolio of Group Retail (covering the local and international branches).
-The incumbent will be responsible for taking legal action and enforcement of security if any, and the aggressive pursuance of the repayment of the overdue debt through all legal and market accepted means.
-The incumbent will also be fully responsible for the timely, comprehensive and high quality preparation of required MIS, Portfolio Management, and KPI achievement reports for the Group Retail Management and other stakeholders.
- In addition the incumbent will be responsible for the development and implementation of strategies for collections in respect of charged off accounts and strategies of recoveries for all local and international branches.
- Manage the development & subsequent implementation and migration of Collections best practices across all retail markets to promote efficiencies in work processes, ultimately resulting in reducing NPLs portfolio at Group Retail level (Qatar + International).
- Tracks business opportunities on a global scale and is able to articulate road map for the organization to seize markets in new territories

 

Qualification

- University graduate with a degree in Finance, Business or related discipline.
- Minimum of 15 years managerial experience in Banking preferably with a local/ Gulf bank entailing responsibilities of Retail Collections.
- Well-informed of the market competitive structure, industry practices and regulations for retail banking with at least 10 years’ experience in a local environment.
- Master’s degree or equivalent banking related training or Professional certification such as CPA, CFA is preferred but not required.
