Job Summary

The Vice President of Investment (PM/FM/Equity/Qatarization) is a senior executive role responsible for overseeing the QNB's equity investment strategies, managing portfolio management and fund management activities. This position requires strategic vision, extensive market knowledge, and strong leadership skills to drive investment performance and ensure alignment with the organization's overall objectives.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute the QNB's equity investment strategy in alignment with organizational goals.

  • Provide high-level direction and oversight for the portfolio management and fund management teams.

  • Oversee the management of equity portfolios, including asset allocation, risk management, and performance evaluation.

  • Monitor market trends and economic developments to adjust investment strategies as needed.

  • Lead the development and management of equity funds, ensuring they meet performance targets and compliance standards.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to attract and retain investors, and manage relationships with key clients.

  • Manage and mentor a team of investment professionals, fostering a high-performance culture and promoting professional development.

  • Oversee recruitment, training, and performance evaluation for team members.

  • Conduct in-depth research and analysis of equity markets, including evaluating potential investment opportunities and risks.

  • Make informed investment decisions and recommendations based on quantitative and qualitative analysis.

  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of investment performance and fund activities to senior management and investors.

  • Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with institutional investors, analysts, and other key stakeholders.

  • Represent the firm at industry conferences, investor meetings, and other relevant events.

Education and Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Advanced degree (MBA, Master’s in Finance, or equivalent) preferred.

  • Minimum of 10 - 15 years of experience in investment management, with a significant focus on equity portfolio and fund management.

  • Proven track record of managing large-scale equity portfolios and achieving performance targets.

  • Strong understanding of financial markets, investment strategies, and regulatory frameworks.

  • Excellent leadership and management skills with the ability to drive team performance and collaboration.

  • Advanced analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to stakeholders.

  • Professional certification CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst (Level 3) is required.

  • Track record of managing Equity portfolios or funds within the MENA region.
