Job Summary

Develop and execute Market Making (MM) and Liquidity Provisioning (LP) strategies, leveraging trading algorithms and market characteristics for assigned securities in compliance with Qatar Exchange regulations. Analyze stock movements, identify trading opportunities, and oversee the research and development of high-frequency trading strategies and alpha signal research across asset classes.

Main Responsibilities

• Develop and manage MM/LP strategies for sponsored and proprietary activities within established guidelines.

• Analyze stock price trends relative to market and sector performance to identify trading opportunities.

• Research and incorporate new data sets into strategy development and conduct back-testing of trading algorithms.

• Ensure compliance with regulations, risk management policies, and internal procedures.

• Operate within defined trading limits and achieve targets for trading size, spread, and volume.

• Provide timely and accurate information to auditors, compliance teams, and stakeholders as required.

• Maintain confidentiality and ensure adherence to QNBFS policies, including information security standards.

Education and Experience Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Banking, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred).

• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, preferably in an international banking environment.

• In-depth knowledge of equity markets, QE & QFMA regulations, and trading strategies.

• Strong analytical, decision-making, and communication skills in English and Arabic.
