Summary

The incumbent is responsible for the proper implementation of the Compliance Program and for participating in its continuous enhancement to identify compliance risks. The Incumbent should perform compliance reviews at international entities, and implement an effective follow-up process. In addition, the incumbent is responsible for reviewing and updating the e-training material, and ensure that international entities adequately implement the systems and controls adopted at Group level.

Experience
  • Define and develop the criteria and components of the Compliance Monitoring and Testing Models of the International Compliance Department to be applied at international entities.

  • Perform studies, analysis and researches aiming to the enhancement of the Compliance Models at international entities.\

  • Develop the principles adopted by QNB Group with regards to the Compliance Models undertaken by compliance officers at international entities in line with emerging standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Contribute to the establishment and ensure the proper implementation of the operating framework for the identification, management, monitoring and reporting of Compliance risks and issues.

  • Undertake the implementation of the Compliance Models at the international entities by providing instructions and setting project plans.

  • Perform Compliance Reviews covering the end-to-end process and documentation in line with the methodology adopted by Group Compliance.

  • Supervise the planning phase for undertaking Compliance Reviews at international entities by compiling the required information and preparing for the introductory meeting.

  • Enhance the methodology of compliance reviews by maintaining compliance programs updated with the introduction of new products, services, and processes.\

  • Ensure the continuous update of the Group’s compliance library, utilizing current technology whenever possible.

  • Identify violations or operational deficiencies in the systems and processes of international entities and recommend improvements.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor degree in finance, accounting, economics, banking or other related subjects

  • Studying for professional qualifications

  • Fluency in English and Arabic

  • Basic legal and documentation background pertaining to the incumbent’s area of responsibility

  • Understanding of risk concepts, banking operations/ systems and pertinent regulatory requirements

  • Knowledge of MS Office Suite
