Required Special Skills:

- Strong understanding of operational, legal, credit and market risks across the full range of products/ processes (conventional and Islamic banking)..

- Prior experience of designing and implementing risk management processes.

- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Arabic (preferred).

- Adequate knowledge of IT systems/ applications.

- In-Depth knowledge of Basel Committee best practices pertaining to market, credit and operational risks, including IT and physical security.

- Proficiency in risk concepts, banking products/ operations/ systems, pertinent regulatory requirements, International Accounting Standards and related pronouncements.

- Well-developed analytical and interpersonal skills.

- Self-motivated, eye for detail.

- Ability to persuade others.

- Flexible team player and able to work and deliver under pressure.

- Ability to manage teams from diverse cultural backgrounds.

- Able to build key partnerships by collaboration and build relationships across the organization to deliver results

- Ability to inspire and motivate others to gain commitment.
