Job Purpose Summary:
The incumbent participates in planning and implementation processes of projects undertaken by the group. The incumbent will be coordinating and monitoring the ongoing projects and insure that these projects are on schedule and as per the strategy plan, also, to prioritize and reschedule the projects as per the resources and criticality of the user requirements and provide support to team members in providing any solutions and any operations related problems. The incumbent will also be responsible for ensuring projects’ compliance with the Group-wide Operational standards, policies/procedures, industry best practices and pertinent laws and regulations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities by Dimensions:
A. Shareholder & Financial: -
-Manage projects’ operations to ensure timely completion within the assigned costs and specifications, monitor and control expenses within the estimated budget to meet overall objectives.
- Forecast revenue, profitability, margins, bill rates and utilization areas projects
- Implements KPI’s and best practices for Assistant Vice President Operations Projects role.
- Act within the limits of the powers delegated to the incumbent and delegate authority to the respective staff and monitor exercise of the same.
- Demonstrate clear understanding of the important factors behind the bank's financial & non-financial performance.
B. Customer (Internal & External): -
Coordinate among the concerned user departments in the formulation of project deliverables, resources, priorities, duration, and cost.
- Secure the requirements for the concerned user departments and schedule for the respective projects/ facilities maintenance works execution.
- Assist the head of Dept in the Coordination of the activities of project team, consultants and contractors to ensure efficient use of resources and to ensure efficient project implementations.
- Participate into preparing agreements/ contracts with the external service providers, if any projects require that.
- Continuously monitor progress and prepare reports to his management on a timely manner.
- To assist customers in all their queries on Bank’s product and seek solution to their requests.
- Maintain activities in accordance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with internal departments/units to achieve improvements in turn-around time.
- Build and maintain strong/effective relationships with related departments/units to achieve the Group’s objectives.
- Provide timely/accurate data to external/internal Auditors, Compliance, Financial Control and Risk when required.
C. Internal (Processes, Products, Regulatory): -
Review test plans and scripts standards and ensure the proper adherence of these standards by User Services and users.
- Define the projects’ goals to be achieved and measurement methods to track the achievement of the benefits.
- Assist the head of Dept. in managing tenders and subcontracting on as directed by the division in consultation/ dialogue with the Head of contracts and tenders.
- Assist the head of Dept to manage the schedule of projects and work program of each project to be executed as per the budget and ensuring timely vendor selection / procurement of equipment, hardware, software and various resources for the timely completion of projects.
- Direct successful implementation of the project, including the restructuring of business processes and procedures to deliver efficient and effective operations while utilizing the capabilities of the new system.
- Review the project design documents prepared by staff consultants and contractors and ensure they meet QNB and regulatory standards and quality expectations.
- Assist the head of Dept in conducting project risk analysis and maintain project risk profile.
- Identify, log, analyse and manage potential and actual issues and risks, take corrective action by tackling day-today issues elevate service interruptions, critical issues and potential risks to EVP, Central Operations and EVP Operations Excellence and SEVP Group Operations.
- Study existing products and suggest best practice to minimize Risk; increase automation and improve productivity and income as per Market behavior.
- Assist Head of Dept. for any system testing; UAT and go life and Products enhancement.
- Assess the efficiency and the effectiveness of the project and system once implemented, taking appropriate steps to resolve any problems/ issue noted.
Education/Experience Requirements:
Bachelor degree University Graduate/preferred with a Major in Marketing, Banking, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or Information Technology (related field of study) - At least 10 years of relevant experience, preferably within a highly rated international bank / IT Operation fields of which at least 5 to 6 years in bank in a Supervisory capacity in responsibilities relating to project management ;products knowledge ; Operation and business excellence
