Job Purpose Summary:
The incumbent will perform processing activities for settlement and postponement of Retail loans in line with the Group Retail Loans policies and procedures.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities by Dimensions:
A. Shareholder & Financial:
- Assist in meeting units’ budget, controlling costs and achieving targeted levels of processing volumes.
- Implements KPI’s and best practices for Senior Officer, Retail Loans
- Act within the limits of the powers delegated to the incumbent.
- Promote cost consciousness and efficiency and enhance productivity, to minimise cost, avoid waste, and optimise benefits for the bank.
B. Customer (Internal & External):
- Build and maintain strong and effective relationship with all other related departments and units to achieve the Group’s goals/ objectives.
- Provide timely and accurate information to the external and internal auditors and the Compliance function as and when required.
- To assist customers in all their queries on Bank’s product and seek solution to their requests.
- Maintain activities in accordance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with internal departments/units to achieve improvements in turn-around time.
C. Internal (Processes, Products, Regulatory):
- Timely review all retail loans designated for settlement or postponement in accordance with set procedures for receiving, processing, checking and filing loans documentation.
- Support the Supervisor Retail Loans processing, Settlement and Postponed in critically reviewing all credit documents pertaining to process, settlement or postponement ensuring all necessary procedures and all calculations are in accordance with QNB set policy.
- Maintain the filing of all processed loans ensuring their timely filing in accordance with set procedures.
- Update existing files with received documents.
- Liaise with Retail Banking Credit & Collections Department for processing, settling or postponing Retail Loans andfor the receipt of loan documentation, Group Compliance on QCB related compliance issue, and with the Group Risk as and when needed and according to the delegated authority.
- Support the Supervisor Retail Loans in the preparation of management information system (MIS) and other reports related to the credit process.
- Input all data in the core banking system when loans are processed to ensure the timely update of system information.
D. Learning & Knowledge:
- Possess a good knowledge of the Retail banking business, its products and related risks together with a good knowledge of retail credit operations and controls.
- Seek improvements to current processes and recommend them to the Head of Retail Personal/Vehicle Loans Settlement and Postponed.
- Ensure high standards of confidentiality to safeguard commercially sensitive information.
Education/Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor degree University Graduate/preferred with a Major in Marketing, Banking, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or Information Technology (related field of study)
