Job Summary:
The incumbent will manage the Global Trade services products of QNB Group in line with the overall GTB and QNB.
Main Responsibilities :
A. Shareholder & Financial:
Ultimately responsible for development and market of Trade Services products, and value added service proposition for customers to uphold banks position as a key Trade services player in the global markets it operates in.
Supports the attaining revenue, profit, profitability supporting the sales team, in line with vision and mission of the group and /or other set targets imposed by the Senior Management team.
Works with Direct manager in achieving unit’s budget and product targets and implementation of the group approved strategies/business plans for the unit and overall objectives of the QNB group.
Observes and promotes cost consciousness and efficiency, and enhance productivity, to minimize costs, avoid wastes, and optimize benefits for the bank.
Implements KPI’s and best practices for Global Trade Services Product.

Act within the limits of the powers delegated to the incumbent and delegate authority to the respective staff and monitor exercise of the same.
Demonstrate clear understanding of the important factors behind the bank's financial & non-financial performance.
B. Customer (Internal & External):
Accountable for proactive gathering and analysis of market and business intelligence information as well as interfacing with Business Intelligence and Economic Research departments to ensure that Department’s activities are targeted to meet prevailing customer needs as well as to respond to competitor actions.
Responsible for the initiation and development of cutting-edge trade services products and solutions in line with a client centric approach and the overall ambitions of the organization to position itself as an innovative and leading GTB bank in all markets in operates in.
Responsible for the development of product/credit programs and packaged solutions in line with market trends and client needs and produces all related presentations, collateral and support material to support the commercialization and sales efforts.
Work with HO and Country Managers, to support the business objectives of the Trade business.
Responsible for working with the Global sales team on commercialization of trade services products effectively and tracks product profitability progress regularly
Responsible for all trade product KPIs and targets set by management.
Coordinates with the sales team for initiating, maintaining and enhancing relationships with customer requiring.
Trade services including e-channels in coordination with the channels and partnerships team, and develop any new products or product enhancements to ensure to ensure their business needs are identified and well served,
Responsible for implementation of a one point of contact concept to respond to and resolve all customer needs and queries pertaining to trade services product activities.
Assist customers in all their queries on Bank’s product and seek solution to their requests.
Maintain activities in accordance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with internal departments/units to achieve improvements in turn-around time.
Build and maintain strong/effective relationships with related departments/units to achieve the Group’s objectives.
Provide timely/accurate data to external/internal Auditors, Compliance, Financial Control and Risk when required.
C. Internal (Processes, Products, Regulatory):
Accountable for preparations and implementation of Trade strategic and business plans in relation to Corporate and Institutional Banking strategy and QNB Group objectives, as well as ensures they are communicated and cascaded to the employees under supervision.
Responsible for initiating, developing and implementing policies, standards, systems and procedures pertaining to the function under supervision in line with QNB guidelines and policies as well as external regulations and high market standards. Ensures that these are adhered and followed to the fullest extent on a daily basis.
Is responsible for initiation of products, and/or offerings development/ enhancement, aimed at fulfilling client needs.
Including digital channel and partnership requirements in close coordination with the Global channels and partnerships team.
Manages all project implementations pertaining to trade products and Trade channels/partnerships in coordination with Global channels and partnerships team product developments and enhancements and ensuring all requirements are developed, met and tested correctly.
Responsible for preparation of Trade services marketing plans, client collateral, pitchbooks, sales support material and supports marketing activities alongside Global GTB Sales within the department to promote corporate banking products/ services in their best position.
Proactively monitors results of marketing activities and initiates marketing plans review if necessary.
In liaison with Corporate Communication function and other business units of the Bank supports building and promoting QNB brand image.
Represents the Bank at professional/ industrial organizations/ venues, conferences and workshops to represent
QNB group trade services product capabilities, market share.
Responsible for setting and implementation of appropriate pricing structures / policies for trade products.
Supports the structure and closure of complex transactions across the QNB network.
Builds and expands product capability out of Qatar for QNB Overseas to support the Qatar business expansion.
Is responsible for ensuring proper credit information and assessment of risk profile for trade clientele, and development of preventive actions, directed to early identification of risky clients as well as preventing/ minimizing losses potential losses.
Ensures identification and development of internal control systems to address control weakness.
Is responsible for identification of operational, market, sovereign and or other types of risk related to Trade product activities and address them through appropriate mitigation procedures.
Builds and maintains strong working relationships with other Departments and functions within the Bank to ensure harmonious processes and effective work relationships as well as to promote synergy within the Bank.
Ensures that any internal disputes are resolved promptly and sufficiently.
Is responsible that activities of the Department are well documented as per applicable internal and external requirements as well as reports to the Senior Management team on the Department's performance.
Ensures provision of timely and accurate information to the Group's senior management team, external and internal auditors and the Group's compliance function as and when required.
Performs any other tasks and projects as assigned by the direct manager pertaining to Corporate and Institutional Banking and QNB Group activities.

Well-informed of the market competitive structure, industry practices and regulations in relation to trade products
Takes responsibility for self-development as well as acquiring skills and knowledge required to fulfillment of one's duties.
Personally, provides coaching and mentors employees (Product, service and portfolio management) under direct supervisions as well as those assigned by the Group's HR function to foster their professional development.
Facilitates knowledge sharing within and across QNB Group employees as well as ensures presence of knowledge sharing systems staff and facilitate/coach them to improve their effectives and prepare them to assume greater responsibilities.
E. Legal, Regulatory, and Risk Framework Responsibilities:
Comply with all applicable legal, regulatory and internal compliance requirements including, but not limited to,
Group Compliance Policies and Procedures (AML & CTF, Sanctions Policy, Data Protection Policy, Fraud Control
Policy, Whistle Blowing Policy, Conflict of Interest and Insider Dealing Policy).
Understand and effectively perform your role under the Three Lines of Defence principle to identify measure, monitor, manage and report risks.
Ensure systematic good outcomes for clients in accordance with Conduct Risk policy.
Support the framework of RCSA, KRI, Incident reporting and remediation, as appropriate, in accordance with the Operational Risk Management requirements.
Maintain appropriate knowledge to ensure full qualification to undertake the role.
Complete all mandatory training provided by the Bank, attain, and maintain the required levels of competence.
Attend mandatory (internal and external) seminars as instructed by the Bank.
F. Other:
Ensure high standards of data protection and confidentiality to safeguard commercially sensitive information.
Maintaining utmost confidentiality concerning customer and internal bank information obtained during the course of business and provide such information on a need to know basis only to Senior Management of QNB, Audit and Compliance functions, and relevant Regulators.
Maintain high professional standards to uphold QNB's reputation and to strengthen its market leadership position.
All other ad hoc duties/activities related to QNB that management might request from time to time.
Education and Experience Requirements:
University graduate BA preferably with a Major in Marketing, Banking, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or Information Technology (related field of study), Master’s degree is highly preferred.
At least 12 years of banking relevant experience, preferably within a highly rated international bank.
