Job Purpose Summary
The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of digital banking services, including online banking platforms, mobile apps, and other digital channels and products. This individual will lead the quality assurance strategy and operations within the Retail Digital Business Department. The role involves overseeing the development and implementation of quality assurance standards, testing procedures, and quality control measures to ensure the highest level of service delivery for all digital banking products and services. This role requires a blend of strategic planning, leadership, technical expertise, and a deep understanding of digital banking operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in software quality assurance, an understanding of digital banking technologies, and a proven record of accomplishment of leading QA teams to achieve excellence in the digital service delivery.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities by Dimensions
Shareholder & Financial: Develop and implement a comprehensive QA strategy aligned with the bank’s digital transformation goals; collaborate with senior leadership to execute the digital strategy roadmap; establish KPIs and best practices; promote innovation, cost efficiency, and productivity; delegate authority and monitor performance; and maintain a clear understanding of financial and non-financial performance factors.
Customer (Internal & External): Lead and manage the QA team, set objectives, evaluate performance, and foster professional development; coordinate with project delivery departments; communicate quality metrics to senior management; liaise with internal and external stakeholders; work closely with product managers and developers to deliver high-quality solutions; ensure adherence to SLAs; and maintain strong relationships across departments.
Internal (Processes, Products, Regulatory): Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate QA processes throughout the product lifecycle; implement cutting-edge QA practices and technologies; lead quality assurance frameworks focused on quality, security, and customer experience; oversee test plans and automated testing; drive continuous improvement and innovation within the team.
Learning & Knowledge: Maintain expertise in digital transformation, QA techniques, and digital banking technologies; troubleshoot complex issues; foster staff development and performance; and encourage innovative thinking and adoption of industry-leading practices.
Legal, Regulatory, and Risk Framework Responsibilities: Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies including AML, data protection, fraud control, and conduct risk; perform risk management in accordance with the Three Lines of Defence principle; complete mandatory training; and attend required seminars.
Other: Uphold data protection and confidentiality standards; maintain high professional ethics to strengthen the bank’s reputation; and perform other duties as assigned by management.
Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university, preferably in Marketing, Banking, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or Information Technology.
Minimum of 12 years of relevant experience, ideally within a highly rated international bank.
